Designing Your Garden Space: Part Two
Do you dream of creating your own beautiful, sustainably designed garden? This is your chance to become a novice landscape designer. Morgan Vondrak, acclaimed landscaper designer, will teach you how to design your own garden (up to 250 square feet.) You will get hands-on experience of… ◾Making your own landscape design sketch ◾Installing native plants in a demo design at Common Ground In order to design your own garden, you will need to bring a to-scale map on graph paper (created in the first class of this design course on 5/7/16), photographs of your garden landscape area, a list of chosen plant materials, and work clothes. (We will be digging and planting!)

Learn methods for harvesting rainwater and capturing household gray water for using in your garden and landscape. Discover techniques for assembling and maintaining an inexpensive system and storage methods for storing rainwater and using it as irrigation. Capturing rainwater also reduces water run-off containing pollutants from entering our waterways.

Morgan Vondrak is is owner and lead designer at Argia Designs, a California landscape design and consultation firm specializing in sustainable landscape design for over ten years. A native Californian, Morgan has designed residential and commercial gardens, landscapes and hardscapes throughout California, and she has been featured in UT San Diego’s Home and Garden Magazine and won a “Best of Houzz 2015” award.
