OCEANVIEW GARDENS APARTMENTS LEASE AMENDMENT

TUESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2004, 6:45 P.M.

 

In accordance with California Community Redevelopment Law (CRL), the City of Berkeley Redevelopment Agency (“Agency”) proposes to conduct a public hearing and upon conclusion, adopt a Resolution approving a fifty-five (55) year ground lease amendment with AF Evans Company, Inc. for the Oceanview Gardens development at 813 Delaware Street. This long-term lease amendment will provide for the continued management, upkeep, and affordability of these 62 units of low-income housing.

 

According to California Law (CRL 33431), the Redevelopment Agency must conduct at least one public hearing and hear testimony of all interested parties for the purpose of reviewing the disposition or encumbrance of redevelopment agency land. Anyone wishing to speak at the public hearing may receive a speaker card from the Agency Clerk at the start of the Agency meeting up until the closure of the public hearing.

 

Written comments should be mailed or delivered directly to the City Clerk, 2180 Milvia Street, Berkeley, CA 94704, in order to ensure delivery to all agency members and inclusion in the agenda packet.  Comments received no later than Monday, January 12, 2004, will be included in Agency agenda packets.  Comments received thereafter will be submitted to Agency members as supplemental communications at the meeting.  For further information, call Sherry M.
