To maintain the safety and well-being of our Veterans and staff, VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) announces the cancellations of remaining face-to-face Veterans Town Halls in Fremont, Modesto, Monterey, San Jose and Sonora. In lieu of these face-to-face meetings, we will host our first-ever Tele-Town Hall on March 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (PST). During this engagement, Veterans from across our catchment area can call in to receive updates from Executive Leadership about the quality health care and excellent customer service we continue to provide our Veterans. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve in our community, the VA Palo Alto Health Care System and clinics are taking additional steps to limit the spread of this virus or other respiratory illnesses.

All Veterans who have symptoms (fever, cough and shortness of breath) should call the Nurse Triage Call Center at 1-855-632-8262 for triage and instruction prior to coming to the medical center or clinics.

Out of an abundance of caution we are implementing enhanced screening protocols at all of our facilities. We understand this may be an inconvenience to some, but it is important that we quickly identify individuals who have symptoms and direct them to a location for further triage and treatment.

A part of the screening protocol includes redirecting all incoming traffic to the main entrance (Miranda and Loop Rd). Once you reach the main entrance, the initial screening process will begin. To ensure the process is efficient, please follow security’s instructions.

For Veterans visiting our Menlo Park Division, Livermore Division, and CBOCs, there will be a similar screening process, which will begin Monday, March 9, 2020.

Please plan to arrive at the facility at least 30 minutes in advance of your appointment to allow additional time for the screening process.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.
