I became a doctor because I like to fix things. I like being able to improve how patients function. Through my specialty I'm able to help children hear, sleep, and breathe better, and feel better overall. I really like it when a patient comes back after surgery and we’ve fixed the problem.
I love working with children, because they are so much fun to be around. Even when they're not feeling good, they still like to play, and can adapt easily to what's happening around them. Children are unique; I meet them on their own terms, and talk to them about what they're interested in.
I like working at this hospital because we are 100 percent devoted to children. Everyone's priority is being child- and family-friendly. I'm a mother myself; I have identical twin boys, so I understand the challenges of parenting. I work collaboratively with families to make the best decisions together for the care of their children.
