  • “Parents know they have as much of my time and attention as it takes.”

Caring for children with chronic illness has long been my passion. This led me into pulmonary medicine and care of children with cystic fibrosis. The most gratifying aspect of my career has been to work with families and children with CF, helping them to survive and become responsible, independent young adults.

I see my involvement with patients and parents as a long-standing relationship, one that often lasts many years. I ensure that all my patient and parent relationships are centered around trust and respect. This sets the stage for a healthy care environment, in which we function as a team with a common goal. My main goals are to inform, educate, and be really certain parents have understood all aspects of the medical issue and treatment. Parents know they have as much of my time and attention as it takes to achieve this.
