I am a children's ear, nose and throat surgeon. That's as specialized as it comes. My academic and clinical interests focus primarily on creative solutions to difficult surgical problems. My current focus is on expanding surgical options for pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and to care for children with compromised upper respiratory tracts.
The most important thing when meeting a new family is establishing trust. As a doctor, I have always found great pleasure, perhaps a gift for working with families. There are several insights I've had in my life; one of them is nothing beats kindness. That is true for every relationship. The second is that you need courage, to go beyond where you've been. The third is that you should be optimistic about life. In the end, it's how you value what you have that counts.
