Richard Barth, MD

  • “My role is to personalize innovative technology to meet each family's needs.”

Growing up, I was inspired by how our family practitioner took care of my family in a small Midwestern town in Ohio. I was struck by how fulfilled and dedicated he was; he did a lot to make us feel special and to take care of my parents through difficult health issues. Watching him over a period of years made me want to go into medicine.

I like being a pediatric radiologist because I get to connect patients to the best technology while giving them personal care. I often review images with families and they often call me at home to discuss diagnoses. For me, this connection is very rewarding.

I am very proud to be working in this hospital because we all share the same vision; we are here to protect children and help them get better. That dedication elevates my spirit; it's what keeps me coming to work each day.
