  • “Being a physician is a humbling experience.”

I wanted a career that would be both rewarding and challenging; medicine allowed me to do that. Being a physician is a humbling experience. Parents are taking what is most precious in their lives, their children, and entrusting them to my care.

My staff and I work together to create a warm and caring environment for patients and families. Patients and families facing digestive disorders can feel especially vulnerable; my goal is to listen and understand that vulnerability, and resolve their medical issue as quickly as possible.

I believe patient care requires a team approach. It's important for the patient, caregiver and the entire health care team to decide together on the best care. It is my goal to establish a relationship of confidence and trust with my patients and their families, to educate them on the available treatment options, and guide them in making the best decisions. It is my job and privilege to make people feel empowered, and give them support they need.
