Scott Hoffinger, MD

  • Scott A Hoffinger
  • “No matter what — we can help.”

My job is great. I get to meet new people, create a plan to fix them, and then see the results of that plan. Plus I get to work with kids — the little ones I can play with, the older ones I can joke with all while reassuring the parents that achieving the best outcome is our number one priority. It is a privilege to become a part of so many families, earn their trust and help them.

I remember once seeing a telethon story about a boy who lost most of his leg and the surgeon reconstructed his leg and grew new bone. They showed the boy walking, playing basketball, and when he turned toward the camera, I saw that he was my patient. Knowing my team did that was a humbling feeling. No matter what we can help. I want patients and families to know that there is so much we can do. I love to accomplish things that others say cant be done. I am not content with merely doing a good job — I want things to be perfect.
