Concerned about sharing your idea at a meeting? Afraid you’ll stumble during a business presentation? Feeling uneasy about an upcoming toast at a wedding? Many of us wish we could speak more clearly and confidently at such occasions. Highlighting the best practices taught in Continuing Studies' standard 10-week COM 01: "Public Speaking" course, this one-day workshop will help you learn to be a more confident, authentic, and engaging presenter. We will focus on key concepts in the areas of presentation organization, nonverbal delivery, audience engagement, and oratorical style. The workshop will consist of a combination of short lectures, discussions, interactive group activities, video analysis, and short speechmaking. You will also learn speech apprehension management techniques and tips and tricks for powerful online presentations. For those who have lots of presentations to give, but not lots of time to learn how to give them, this workshop is for you.

Due to its short format, this workshop may not be taken for Credit or a Letter Grade.
