Fernanda Fernandes is a PhD Student at Faculdade de Letras from Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF). In her PhD research she examines the transformations on public (audience) in contemporaneity. She has previously studied at UFJF where she did her undergraduate studies in journalism. Fernandes holds a Master’s Degree in Teoria da Literatura. Her thesis was published as the book Ponto de Partida: um País em Cena. Prior to returning to academia, she made a career in journalism working as a reporter for Tribuna de Minas specializing in arts and entertainment. She has also taught journalism and other courses at Faculdade de Comunicação Social da UFJF and Facsum.
