Diversity Cabinet

Stanford University’s Diversity Cabinet was formed in 2005 and is co-convened by Karen Cook (Sociology), Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity, Patricia Gumport (Education), Vice Provost for Graduate Education, and Harry Elam (Theater and Performance Studies), Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. The cabinet is composed of Stanford faculty and staff who are appointed by Provost Etchemendy to ensure Stanford's goal of building a diverse faculty, staff and student body. The cabinet meets monthly during the academic year.
