A Vision for Stanford

Since its founding, Stanford has embraced new ways of thinking about its missions of research, education and service. Over the past year, Stanford has tapped the wisdom of its community to anticipate and navigate the breathtaking pace of change of our world today.

In Spring 2017, Stanford leaders invited the university community to share its ideas for Stanford’s future. Taking the big themes from these ideas, Stanford’s president and provost, executive cabinet and other leaders have worked to chart a purposeful course for the university.  Through this process, the voice of the community has shaped Stanford’s long-range vision for its future.
