Toyon Residence Hall Room With No Cleaning or Linen

Price per Night  

• $44.10 per night for a bed in a shared room
• $54.15 per night for a private room
• $84.10 per night for both beds in a double-occupancy room

Eligibility

Housing in Toyon is available at the end of the summer for graduate students needing to arrive on campus before their on-campus room is available for move-in, or as a place to stay while looking for off-campus housing through our Community Housing office. These residence hall rooms are suitable for individuals traveling alone or in pairs.

Minimum Length of Stay

None. Housing is available August 17th at 3 pm through September 10th at 10 am.

Description of Residential Building

Toyon is a historic undergraduate residence complex on the east side of campus. There are large single-gender group dorm-style bathrooms on each floor.

Please note that the web site listed above is designed for Stanford undergraduate students and should be used only to view photos, floor plans, and descriptions.

Furnishings

Extra long single beds for each student, as well as a desk, desk chair, bookshelves, and dresser. There is a common area lounge for the residence hall.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping service is NOT included in the nightly rate.  Cleaning supplies are not provided. Guests can purchase cleaning supplies at Tresidder Express, a small convenience store on the first floor of Tresidder Memorial Union.

Linen Services

Twin linen packs consist of towels (a bath towel and a face towel), two flat sheets, a pillow, a pillow case, and a blanket. They can be rented for $44 for 7 days or less, or $56 for 8 days or more. Linen can be requested ahead of time through the on-line housing application or rented through the Lagunita Conference Front Desk upon arrival. Payment for linen rental will be required at check-in.

Parking Permits

Parking permits are required for campus parking. Residential parking permits may be reserved ahead of time through the on-line housing application or can be purchased from the Lagunita CFD upon arrival. Payment for parking permits will be required at check-in. Daily Conference Parking Scratchers are $4.50/day and Monthly Parking Permits are $29.

Laundry Facilities

A laundry room is located on the first floor of the building. Rent includes Student Housing’s "Just Like Home" laundry program, giving residents unlimited use of these washers and dryers; no coins or cards required.

Fees and Payments

There is a $35 processing fee. Balances due for lodging fees, processing fee, and any items ordered (linen packs or parking permits) are required to be paid upon check-in at the Conference Front Desk. We accept MasterCard, Visa, personal check, or cash for payment. We do not accept any other credit cards.

Conference Front Desk and Check-In Information

For an easy check-in, it is important that you plan to arrive on campus during normal working hours. Check-in times will be as follows:

Daily

1 pm to 8 pm (except Aug 17, when check-ins are 3 pm to 8 pm)

at the Wilbur Conference Front Desk

The Wilbur CFD is open daily from 8 am - 8 pm to assist guests with check-in/check-out, campus information, sale of parking permits and assistance with room lock-outs. 

Check-Out Information

Check-out is by 11 am, with the exception of September 10.  On September 10, check-out is by 10 am.  You will check out at the Wilbur CFD.

Internet Access

Internet service during your campus stay is available through Stanford's Academic Computing department for no additional charge. Prior to arriving on campus, it is important to make sure that your computer and other devices meet the requirements to access Stanford's internet service. Please read the Summer Conference Computing Service document and contact Academic Computing with any questions prior to your arrival. Wireless internet service is available. Please note that you will need to provide your own Ethernet cable to use the high speed data ports.

Campus Transportation

Campus shuttle service (known as "the Marguerite”) is available on weekdays, 6 am - 8 pm. No weekend service is provided. For Marguerite information and updates, please consult your Conference Front Desk or visit the Parking and Transportation Services web site.

Application Process

Submit the on-line housing application, indicating your housing preference and an alternate choice if desired.  There is an "Additional Information"  notes field in which you can provide information that we may need in reviewing your application. If you are requesting both halves of a double-occupancy room, please indicate who will be staying with you, and your relationship.

Please note that your application cannot be processed until we have verified that you are a matriculated Stanford graduate student.

Housing is limited. If there is no housing available at the location you are requesting during the time period that you need housing, you can request that we keep your information in case space becomes available at a later date.
