Pavle Levi is the Director of the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies and is Associate Professor in the Art Department's Film and Media Studies Program. His primary areas of research and teaching include European cinema (with an emphasis on Eastern Europe), aesthetics and ideology, film and media theory, and experimental cinema. He is the author of "Cinema by Other Means" (Oxford University Press, 2012) and "Disintegration in Frames" (Stanford University Press, 2007.

Prof. Levi is the recipient of the 2011 Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching.
