Level 3

Resilience is the ability to bounce back in the face of life’s challenges, whether these challenges are getting a poor test grade, breaking-up with a significant other, battling illness, or taking on any number of other tough events. In this course students study insights from the emerging field of resilience to learn about and practice the skills that allow them to bounce back more quickly and effectively from life’s setbacks.

As noted in the description of Negotiation Matters, mastery of negotiation is a life skill in that we all negotiate every day with colleagues, bosses, domestic partners, friends, clients and many others. All classes are a dynamic mix of theory, demonstration, skills exercises and roleplay practice intended to increase your confidence and effectiveness in any negotiation you undertake.

There is an insatiable demand for innovation and entrepreneurship to help individuals and companies thrive in a competitive and dynamic marketplace. However, there hasn't been a well-charted course from rough ideas to polished ventures. In this interactive workshop, Tina Seelig describes a new model, the Invention Cycle, that illustrates how imagination leads to entrepreneurship. This framework captures the attitudes and actions that are necessary to foster innovation and to bring breakthrough ideas to the world.
