Compensation costs increased 0.7 percent for civilian workers, seasonally adjusted, from June 2017 to September 2017.
Over the year, compensation rose 2.5 percent, wages and salaries rose 2.5 percent, and benefits rose 2.4 percent.

Employer costs for civilian workers averaged $24.10 per hour worked for wages and salaries and $11.18 for benefits in June 2017. Retirement costs were $1.92, accounting for 5.4 percent of total compensation costs.
