Students in triune harmony

An inaugural joint concert featuring the Stanford Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Glee Club marks the first occasion during which student music groups were officially a part of the ASSU concert series. During the 1934/1935 ASSU concert series, this joint concert was nestled among illustrious performers, namely the Don Cossacks Choir, Ruth Slenczynska, Feodor Chaliapin, and Igor Stravinsky. The 1935 ASSU Student Manager’s Report praises the students for “displaying not only vocal and instrumental richness but also tonal beauty and vivid interpretation.”
