Intensive Third-Year Japanese

Goal is to express thoughts and opinions in paragraph length in spoken and written forms. Materials include current Japanese media and literature for native speakers of Japanese. Cultural and social topics related to Japan and its people.

Prerequisite

JAPANLNG 20/320 (or equivalent); placement exam.

Notes

  • The eight-week Intensive Third-Year Japanese course is part of the Intensive Language Study Program offered by the Stanford Language Center. It is equivalent to one year of Third-Year Japanese (JAPANLNG 101, 102, and 103 combined).
  • Only graduate students may register for JAPANLNG 405. All other students must register for JAPANLNG 105.
  • Stanford graduate students (with instructor approval) may choose to enroll in this course for 12 units. All other students must enroll in this course for 15 units.
