As part of its core educational mission, Stanford Law School seeks to explore current issues of national and international justice through a legal lens.
The #SLSforJustice hashtag and the accompanying schedule of programs and events were created in January 2015 as a response to a series of highly publicized incidents of racial violence across the country. SLS faculty, staff, and students gathered to discuss the legal and policy implications of these issues through a series of events, classes, reading groups, and informal discussions. It was an opportunity for the SLS community not only to teach about and learn from the events, but also to share personal experiences and move forward together.
In winter 2016, we will delve more deeply into the current national dialogue on the intersection of religion, national security, and US immigration policy, particularly as they relate to Muslims.
You can follow along and add to the conversations in social media with #SLSforJustice.
