Hoover Tower
Hoover Tower, visible throughout the surrounding area, serves as a landmark of Stanford. The 285-foot tower is one of three buildings that make up the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace. The tower's observation deck offers superb views of both Stanford and the surrounding area.
Cantor Center for Visual Arts
The Cantor Center features diverse works of art, ranging from Renaissance paintings to African masks to the world's largest collection (outside of the Paris' Musée) of Rodin's renowned bronze sculptures.
Memorial Church
Memorial Church is the architectural centerpiece of the Main Quad and a landmark widely recognized as an emblem of the University. The church was built in the early 1900s by Jane Lathrop Stanford in memory of her husband, Leland Stanford Sr., both co-founders of the University. Memorial Church is the site of numerous campus events, from choir concerts and lectures to religious and spiritual services.

Outstanding athletic facilities available to conference guests include the Avery Aquatic center and Roble pool, our renowned 18-hole golf course, Cobb Track and Angell Field, and campus tennis courts. The natural environment of Stanford and the Bay Area provides countless opportunities for hiking, biking, jogging, and other outdoor activities.
Local Attractions
Located just minutes from campus is downtown Palo Alto, noted for tree-lined streets, charming restaurants and unique shops that appeal to all ages. Adjacent to the University is the open-air Stanford Shopping Center. The shopping center includes a European-style "street market", Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom's, and a host of specialty shops and restaurants.
