Geriatric Education Resource Center (SUGERC)
Welcome to the website of the Stanford University Geriatric Education Resource Center (SUGERC) where you will find access to a collection of innovative geriatric educational materials developed by a national consortium of academic institutions, with support from the John A. Hartford Foundation of New York City.
These resources were designed to increase the geriatric content of primary care residency training programs. They include field-tested stand-alone teaching aids, packaged methods for teaching geriatric skills, curricular manuals, and faculty development programs.
We hope they will be useful for:
- Providing innovations and ideas to make your own educational efforts in geriatrics more exciting and relevant to residents, perhaps stimulating you to develop even better resources.
- Addressing the explicit requirements of the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education for expanded geriatric content in residency programs, including long-term care, ambulatory continuity of care, and end-of-life decision-making.
