What are product links?

In the text of your discussion post, you can link directly to any product offered on Amazon.com. When you click on the 'Insert a product link' button, you'll be able to search for any product that you'd like to reference. Selecting an item from the search results will insert text in your discussion post that looks something like this: [[ASIN:0545010225 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) (Hardcover)]]. When your discussion post is displayed on Amazon.com, this text will be transformed into a hyperlink, like so: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) (Hardcover).

You are limited to 10 product links in your discussion post, and your link text may not be longer than 256 characters.

How do I include product links if I don't see an 'Insert a product link' button?

If you do not have a Javascript enabled browser, you won't see the 'Insert a product link' button, but you can enter the text that creates a product link directly. Start with "[[ASIN:" and then include the ASIN (an Amazon identification number that can usually be found in the Product Details section of a product page). Next, type a space and then the text you'd like to appear when the link is displayed. Finish up with "]]". For example, if you type "[[ASIN:0545010225 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) (Hardcover)]]" (not including the quotes), you will see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7) (Hardcover) when your discussion post is displayed on Amazon.com.
