The Stanford Cancer Institute is a collaborative Stanford Medicine enterprise made up of Stanford Health Care, Stanford University School of Medicine and Stanford Children's Health. Top-rated programs in more than 30 biomedical specialties—including cancer biology, genomics, immunotherapy, bioinformatics, stem cell medicine and bioengineering—are delivering insights that have changed how cancer is diagnosed, treated and prevented.

Stanford Cancer Institute is one of only 69 NCI-designated cancer centers in the United States. This designation recognizes the Institute's scientific rigor across its laboratory research and clinical assessments of treatments.
Basic Research to Clinical Trials
Clinical trials are used to evaluate new and better ways to diagnose, treat and manage symptoms of cancer. Participating in a trial may give you access to experimental treatments that otherwise are not available.
