That's right. Other fish can actively avoid the JEROS by hearing (or sensing) the motor sound. Jellies are so passive that they are trapped by JEROS.

I am so sorry to hear that. But as I already mentioned, jellyfish aren't actually fish; they're plankton. Jellyfish have no brain or heart. And the harmful jellyfish are really a big problem to humans and fisheries.

Jellyfish aren't actually fish; they're plankton. Jellyfish have no brain or heart. And the harmful jellyfish are really a big problem. One child died by the sting of a poisonous jellyfish in Korea last year.
