Grace Potter Frees Her Inner Rock Star

Grace Potter isn’t one for labels. After a decade and a half as the front woman of The Nocturnals, Potter’s trying her hand at life as a solo artist. In this episode of Roadhouse, we follow Potter as she explores the more performative side of her music through her first solo tour, dubbed the Magical Midnight Roadshow. “This is the first time I don’t have a safety blanket in almost 15 years,” she admits.

The Vermont native often finds herself reveling in the excitement of her new project, from her strengthened connection with the audience to her newfound confidence in creating music that’s unabashedly fun. “Being the frontwoman of the Magical Midnight Roadshow did something to me that I did not expect. It really freed me to explore the performer in me.”
