Wei Yu

Wei Yu is a health economist at the Health Economics Resource Center (HERC), a national center funded by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.  He is also a professor of public economics and administration, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.  Before joined VA and Stanford, he was an assistant professor at Boston University medical school. His current research focuses on cost determination and cost effectiveness of treatment in substance use disorders, budget impact analysis in quality enhancement programs in the VA.  His research in China focuses on health system reform including physician compensation methods and performance evaluation in public hospitals.
