SUMMA
Celebrating 25 years of service to the community
The goal of the Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA) is to increase diversity in the health professions in order to better care for underserved communities. Our annual pre-medical conference is one of the oldest on the west coast and draws hundreds of students from throughout the Bay Area. Learn more about SUMMA's conference
SUMMA is a coalition of Stanford medical students, including representatives from the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), Stanford American Indigenous Medical Association (SAIMA), and the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). Together, we provide support to Stanford's minority medical students as they work toward their degrees and to a future in health care with better outcomes for minority patients. Learn more about why diversity in health care is important
