Research Interests

I am currently the beamline scientist at the BL4.0.3 (MERLIN) at the ALS, LBNL. My research interest is the  use of synchrotron-based spectroscopic tools, such as resonant elastic/inelastic x-ray scattering spectroscopy, to study the electronic structures of highly correlated materials to understand how interactions between different electronic degrees can manifest emergent material properties.

Projects

  • Using resonant elastic x-ray scattering (RSXS) spectroscopy to study the static and dynamic electronic orderings.
  • Using resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) spectroscopy to study elementary excitations in correlated materials.
  • Developing the endstation for time-resolved RSXS experiments.
  • Developing the endstation and x-ray emission spectrograph for time- and momentum-resolved RIXS spectroscopy.
