Earth day event at Stanford

Celebrating Sustainability

April 22nd marks the national celebration of Earth Day, and represents a remarkable legacy for the university. The inaugural event was organized across the nation by Stanford alum Denis Hayes. Decades later, we continue to honor this legacy and use the opportunity to reflect on sustainability as a core value at Stanford, as well as the integral role we each play in making that vision a reality. The annual Celebrating Sustainability Festival brings partners from across campus together to highlight the legacy of sustainability at Stanford that we all contribute to each and every day.

TAKE SIMPLE ACTIONS TO MAKE EVERY DAY EARTH DAY

Office of Sustainability carefully studied and identified key individual actions that are easy to adopt, yet make a big difference by conserving resources, reducing costs, and engaging our campus community. Faculty, staff, and students can participate year-round by joining the My Cardinal Green program, where you can receive personalized recommendations of actions to reduce your environmental footprint.
