• 9/29 Thursday at 9PM: Boba Social @ A3C Couchroom.
  Come get free boba and talk to current team members about Stanford Dragonboat. We'll have a brief info session and play some games to kick the year off.
• 9/30 Friday from 12PM-4PM: Activities Fair @ White Plaza.
  Find Stanford Dragonboat at the activities fair! Whether you're a freshman or a senior, we look forward to meeting you.
• 10/1 Saturday from 11:30AM-2PM: First Water Practice.
  There's nothing like being out on the water–you'll know it when you've tried. This practice is guaranteed to be beginner-friendly! Be at Wilbur parking lot by 11:30AM. Transportation is provided!

Dragonboat racing is a team paddling sport whose roots extend through 2000 years of history. Originally a traditional ritual for the Chinese holiday called "Duanwu Festival," it has recently risen to prominence as an international sport.

Each dragonboat typically holds 22 people:

• 1 drummer, to synchronize the boat
• 20 paddlers, to power the boat
• 1 steersperson, to direct the boat
