Queer & Asian (Q&A) aims to build a supportive network amongst
members of the Stanford community who are interested in exploring
queer & Asian identities and issues. We provide a safe space
for all of our members to socialize with others, talk about their
lives and common problems, and learn more about issues that are
important to them.
Founded in the late 80s to early 90s, Q&A had much of the same goals
as it does now. We hope to establish a strong sense of
community amongst our members through mutual respect, social
interaction, and a collective awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) issues pertinent to
Asians and Pacific Islanders (APIs).
Q&A
highly respects our members' privacies. Regardless of whether
you are still questioning, out, or an ally, everyone is
welcome. All of our members have the right to remain
anonymous and anything that happens during our meetings, events, or
online stay within the group. Q&A wishes to build a supportive
network for all our members and we honor their diversity.
Mutual respect and a mentality of non-judgment are key to building a
close community.

Q&A
provides our members with the opportunity to become part of a sib
family. Sib families develop the same notions of community and
looking after one another that our organization supports on a
smaller scale. Siblings usually go on social outings together,
provide support, and share advice about life, school, and the LGBTQQ
community.
