    Who Let the Dogs Out? Therapy Dogs Highlight Activities to Relieve Finals Stress

    The University at Albany is once again hosting local therapy dogs for the campus community to enjoy. They’ll be able to play with on Thursday, December 10 (1-4 p.m.), and Monday, December 14 (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) Therapy dogs highlight an entire week of planned de-stressing activities.

    Chemist’s Technique Can Identify a Fingerprint as Male or Female

    A team of researchers led by UAlbany chemistry professor Jan Halámek has discovered a straightforward concept for identifying whether a culprit is male or female. It’s based on content in fingerprints – specifically amino acids. According to known literature, amino acid levels in the sweat of females are about twice as high as in males.
