Borrowing Policy
Borrowing privileges are generally limited to EPA staff, other libraries, and local businesses/organizations with established borrowing arrangements.
The Region 7 Library does not circulate materials to individuals. However, the public is welcome to visit the library, by appointment, and use library materials onsite. The Librarian is available to answer questions.
Members of the public or students wishing to borrow materials and unable to visit should contact their local public, school, or university library and ask for an Interlibrary Loan. To locate EPA library materials, you can search the Online Library System (OLS), EPA Libraries' online catalog. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail.
Information For Other Libraries: We freely share materials with other libraries in North America via the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system. Our OCLC symbol is ENA and we are members of FEDL (Federal Libraries and Information Centers) and LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing). For libraries that do not have OCLC access, please contact the Librarian at R7-Library@epa.gov for alternate methods.
Many library services are available electronically for the public. EPA employees have additional on-line resources (such as journals and other periodicals) available via Desktop Library Services.
