Risk Management Plan (RMP) Rule

The Risk Management Plan (RMP) Rule implements Section 112(r) of the 1990 Clean Air Act amendments. RMP requires facilities that use extremely hazardous substances to develop a Risk Management Plan. These plans must be revised and resubmitted to EPA every five years.

Final Rule Further Delaying Effective Date of RMP Rule

EPA has further delayed the effective date of finalized amendments to February 19, 2019, in order to reconsider the amendments based on petitions received by EPA and to consider other issues that may benefit from public comment.
