A new era in medical education
The Flexner Report, published over 100 years ago, transformed medical education. Today we are at the tipping point of another major transformation. A number of factors -- including a greater understanding of how people learn -- are focusing this shift on the pedagogy of interactive learning. Based on the Socratic method, this pedagogy employs both online and classroom strategies to reinvigorate the learning process for faculty and students.

Innovation at Stanford School of Medicine
