After Hours Services When Vaden Is Closed

You can book an appointment for a time when Vaden is open, using the VadenPatient portal.  If you need care when Vaden is closed, the following local options exist:

1. Stanford Express Care offers primary care services for non-urgent situations. The clinic is located in the Hoover Pavilion at 211 Quarry Road, Suite 202 (close to Stanford Shopping Center) and has extended evening and weekend hours. Same day appointments are offered. You will need to present your insurance card at the time of service. If you have Cardinal Care, a $25.00 copay will apply.
2. Palo Alto Medical Foundation Urgent Care, on El Camino Real, offers extended hours for urgent care. You will need to present your insurance card at the time of service. If you have Cardinal Care, a $50.00 copay will apply.
3. Stanford Medical Center Emergency Department is open for emergency visits 24 hours per day. You will need to present your insurance card at the time of service. If you have Cardinal Care, a $100.00 copay will apply (waived if you are admitted to the hospital).

Please note that if a follow - up visit with a specialist is recommended as a result of care at one of these facilities, AND you have Cardinal Care, be sure to contact Vaden prior to scheduling an appointment. For Cardinal Care tier 1 coverage to apply, a referral from Vaden may be needed.
