Class of 2028 & Transfers
Welcome! We are excited to welcome you to our Stanford family and help you prepare for your first year on The Farm.
After you accept your offer of admission, please create your Stanford University Network ID (SUNet ID). Approaching Stanford will begin in early May for incoming frosh, and in early June for incoming transfers. Once Approaching Stanford begins, you will need to use your SUNet ID to check your Stanford email account and to complete your Approaching Stanford Requirements. All Approaching Stanford and official university communications will be sent to your Stanford email account.
This website will be updated in Spring for the 2024 Approaching Stanford cycle. You may review 2023 Approaching Stanford Information on this website at this time.
Approaching Stanford
Approaching Stanford is the process that guides all new undergraduates in their preparation for life on The Farm. For 2024, Approaching Stanford will begin on May 10 for incoming first-years, and on June 7 for incoming transfers. Please check your Stanford email at that time for your first message from Approaching Stanford. Throughout the summer, you'll be introduced to the Stanford community while completing your New Student Requirements (health forms, housing application, first-year course preferences, required trainings, and more). The process culminates with New Student Orientation when you move to campus in September.
Approaching Stanford Handbook (2023)
The Approaching Stanford Handbook is our primary resource for introducing students and families to Stanford. Review the 2023 handbook for detailed information about policies, academics, campus life, and resources.
