Joshua Elias - Assistant Professor of Chemical and Systems Biology

Clark Center Faculty

Dr. Elias's lab develops and applies mass spectrometry techniques for studying, complex biological systems. In particular, the lab is keenly interested in discovering how cells cope with damaged and misfolded proteins, and how these coping mechanisms vary with tissue type, disease state, and age. To do this, members of the Elias lab are developing techniques for efficient proteome fractionation; novel, high-throughput, quantitative mass spectrometry methods; and computational strategies to extract systems level understanding from dynamic experimental models of human diseases.
