Stanford Memorial Church

Memorial Church exterior at night

The beautiful Memorial Church, one of the earliest and most prominent interdenominational churches in the West, is both the architectural crown jewel of campus and a functional center serving the broadest spiritual needs of the university community.

Weekly docent-led tours are offered and visiting hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. year round (except during services, commencement, university holidays and winter closure). Regular programs such as lectures, labyrinth walks and yoga are open to the public on weekdays and multifaith worship services are open to the public on Sunday mornings; during the holiday season, special services and performances are offered. Memorial Church is also available for baptisms, weddings, and memorial services for eligible Stanford staff, faculty, retirees and students of all faiths.
