Jonathan

Jonathan has dedicated himself to public service by spreading awareness on a variety of ocean and energy topics to the wider community. Since 2011 his activities have included writing blog posts for the shark conservation group PangeaSeed, designing brochures and managing social media for Stanford's chapter of The Coastal Society, and organizing film screenings and discussion groups for nature documentaries on campus. Currently, Jonathan serves as a digital and brand officer for the Stanford Energy Club, where he applies his skills in graphic design and marketing to promote engagement with energy issues on campus and in the greater Silicon Valley community.

In addition, Jonathan volunteers with the Oakland-based grassroots organization, Causa Justa, which focuses on anti-gentrification in the Bay Area. He invests himself in addressing the social, environmental, and political inequity that results from displacement of low-income residents in San Francisco to surrounding areas. Beyond his involvement in social movements, Jonathan commits himself to studying clean, renewable energy sources through internship and research opportunities.
