Admit WeekendThe Department of Mathematics has 100-120 majors throughout the year, with 30-40 graduating each year.  We have friendly and accessible faculty, both in applied and theoretical areas.  The major does not have separate tracks for applied or theoretical math; it’s all housed under the math major.   The major is also quite flexible, allowing most of our students to double-major, minor, and/or coterm in other areas.  Our advanced undergraduates often enroll in some of the graduate-level courses that we offer.  Students interested in applied mathematics,  including significant computational,  financial, and/or statistical components, are encouraged to also consider the Mathematics and Computational Science program housed under the Statistics Department.
