Celebrating Sustainability 2016

Knowledge to Action: A Day of Events in Celebration of Earth Day
Tuesday, April 19

Sustainability is ingrained in the campus culture at Stanford. The university has long been a leader in cutting-edge research and innovative teaching on energy, the planet’s resources, and environmental sustainability, and strives to lead by example in integrating those innovations into daily campus operations. Central to Stanford’s approach is the idea that solutions to the world’s environmental problems will require an interdisciplinary effort. Knowledge to Action represents a convergence of this effort that touches all aspects of campus life. In celebration of Stanford’s 125th anniversary, for which sustainability remains a key pillar, the campus community was able to experience the breadth and depth of sustainability efforts.
