Sophomore College Students Arrive: Monday, September 4, NOON-5PM
First day of class: Tuesday, September 5 (class schedule determined by faculty)
Opening Dinner: Tuesday, September 5 (date and location determined by faculty)
Faculty Panel, When I Was a Sophomore: Wednesday, September 6, 4:30PM & 7:30PM, Stern Hall Dorm Lounge
Move to Fall Housing, Get Your Move On Party: Friday, September 15 , 6-8PM
Sophomore College Symposium: Wednesday, September 20, 4-6PM, Rehnquist Courtyard (SCAs and students set up at 3:30PM)
Important Pre-Program Dates (Winter and Spring Quarters)
Faculty
November - December: Previously offered courses are updated and new courses submit description and bios
January: Course edits confirmed in database for returning and new faculty
February 22: Faculty Review Sophomore College Assistant applications
March 13: Sophomore College Assistant Selections Due from Faculty
March 1: Course Materials list due from instructors, e.g. books, course readers, etc. (Questions? Contact sophcollege@stanford.edu)
April 11, 5PM: Faculty Review Student Applications
Faculty and SCA Orientation - Breakfast/Lunch Meeting (faculty and SCAs attend same meeting; dates in April TBA)
May 1: Student Selections Due from Faculty
Early May: Class Rosters Sent to Faculty (as classes are finalized)
May 15-June 2: Spring Class Meeting, Faculty to determine date, time, location
Student Staff
February 8-22, 8AM: Student Staff Applications Open
March 15: Student Staff Application Status Available
March 20: Deadline for Student Staff Commitment
Joint Faculty/SCA Orientation - Breakfast/Lunch Meeting (faculty and SCAs attend same meeting; dates in April TBA)
May: Mandatory SCA Training; dates in May TBA
May: Mandatory Title IX Training; dates in May TBA
