Biography

Patrick is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center on Food Security and the Environment, having received a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC-Berkeley in 2016. An environmental economist, Patrick's work focuses on better understanding the impacts of climate change and examining possible responses to those impacts. His work at Stanford uses new sources of data to monitor food security crises around the world. In August 2017, Patrick will start as an Assistant Professor at the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia.
