Manage Your Vanpool
Applying for a vanpool permit
To apply for a vanpool permit, download and complete the vanpool permit application. At least five members of your vanpool must meet the eligibility requirements for the Commute Club, and each member must complete and sign the application.
Once your application is complete, you have several options to submit it:
- Bring it to our office at 340 Bonair Siding
- Fax it to 650.724.8676
- Email it (after scanning the completed application) to commuteclub@stanford.edu
- Mail it to 340 Bonair Siding, Stanford, CA 94305-7255 (or MC: 7255)
We will notify you when your permit is ready to be picked up. Mail delivery normally takes seven to 10 days from the date we receive your application. If you select “pick up,” you can expect to hear from us within four to seven days.
Vanpool parking needs
If your vanpool has problems or questions about parking on campus, contact us at 650.723.9362 or email us at commuteclub@stanford.edu. We will be glad to work with you to help resolve your parking issues.
If your vanpool changes or ends
If your vanpool changes (e.g., one member is on leave) and still has at least five eligible members, you must submit a new vanpool application. If your vanpool drops below five Commute Club-eligible members, you will be given a one-month grace period, after which you will be responsible for the full cost of your van as well the cost of your parking permit.
If your vanpool ends, your vanpool permit is no longer valid and must be returned.
Notify Parking & Transportation Services whenever there is a change or expected change in your vanpool to retain vanpool privileges for eligible members and/or to avoid penalties. If you have further questions about vanpooling, call us at 650.723.9362 or email us at commuteclub@stanford.edu.
Please note: Fraudulent enrollment in a Stanford vanpool is a violation of Stanford's policies. Anyone found to be in violation of the vanpool policies set forth by Parking & Transportation Services (P&TS) will immediately forfeit Commute Club privileges and be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or expulsion.
