The Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law engages with a number of undergraduate student organizations who are exploring themes and regional issues aligned with the Center's own research agenda.


 

American Middle Eastern Network for Dialogue at Stanford (AMENDS)

The American Middle Eastern Network for Dialogue at Stanford (AMENDS) is a student initiative at Stanford University that enables the most promising youth change agents from across the Middle East, North Africa, and the United States to learn from each other, advance their work, and share - through TEDTM style talks - their ideas and experiences with the world.

AMENDS hosts an annual summit at Stanford convening outstanding youth delegates from the Middle East and North America (MENA) and North America who are committed to projects that create lasting solutions to pressing challenges in the U.S. and MENA region.

Stanford Association for International Development (SAID)

The Stanford Association for International Development (SAID) is a voluntary student organization at Stanford University dedicated to promoting awareness of international development on campus. SAID seeks to leverage the resources of Stanford University to connect students with the scholars and leaders of today to shape the scholars and leaders of tomorrow.

Stanford US – Russia Forum (SURF)

The Stanford US-Russia Forum (SURF) is a nonprofit organization that explores policy, business and economics through international student collaboration. Founded in 2008, SURF offers an annual 6-month exchange program for students at leading Russian and American universities. In addition to this flagship program, SURF publishes the annual SURF Journal and hosts bi-annual conferences at Stanford and in Moscow.
