Stanford Hospital & Clinics parking
Patient/visitor and some commuter parking at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital is administered by the hospitals, not by the university's P&TS office. Please visit the parking information pages on the Stanford Health Care or Stanford Children's Health websites for information on hospital parking. Hospital employees, please refer to our commuter parking page.

School of Medicine Outpatient Center

- Parking is free for commuters at the Redwood City site and free for the first hour for patients.
Porter Drive, Palo Alto
Employee parking
Parking is free at Porter Drive for employees, and permits are not needed.
EV charging station
An electric vehicle (EV) charging station is available at 3160 Porter Drive, supporting Level 2 charging via the SAE J1772 connector for two parking spaces. The charging session fee is $2 per hour through the ChargePoint network. More information is available on our Electric vehicle charging stations page.
Visiting the main campus with a vehicle
The following options are available to Porter Drive employees and/or departments visiting the main campus:
- Off-site Service Vehicle (OSV) and Business “A” permits can be purchased by the month or academic year and can be shared among visiting employees.
- University or department-owned vehicles with the University Seal on the side of the vehicle may park in “A,” “C,” “Service/University Vehicle,” metered, and “Visitor Pay Parking” spaces without a permit.
- Keep or purchase an “A” or “C” commuter permit or daily scratchers for personal use
- Stanford Zipcar vehicles parked at the Porter Drive site for business or personal use. Visit our Zipcar page for more information.
