Registration
This process applies to EVERY STUDENT who is traveling internationally for research – completely regardless of whether or not you are receiving funds from Stanford for your travel. Additionally, even though the OIA website says it’s for international travel, please do fill out their registration form if you are traveling to a remote area in the US. ANY time you travel, please let us know by registering BEFORE YOU LEAVE. You should do so with:
- The Office of International Affairs (OIA)
- In this registration process, please: email a copy of my registration to – enter vbravo@stanford.edu, Department – enter ESS
- International SOS is absolutely crucial so that Stanford can provide quick assistance in the event of an emergency.
- We also highly encourage you to complete the online International and Remote Field Safety training module. You will learn about important issues to consider as you plan your trip and about the services available on campus and overseas to help you in case of an emergency.
