Born in 1983 in Brussels, I graduated in 2006 from the University of Louvain, Belgium. In 2012 I completed my PhD in Geography on social and environmental change in Southern Morocco, also at the University of Louvain. Since February 2013 I have been working as a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, on a project that aims at understanding investment choices of soybean and cattle producers in the Gran Chaco ecosystem in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. My main research interests have been nature-society interactions, changes in land use and land cover, and rural development.
